Get a Treasure Map Players use a treasure map item to begin. A blip appears on the map, pointing to a dig site.
Travel & Interact Head to the location and use a 3rd Eye target to dig.
Digging Begins A progress bar shows the digging process. Once complete, a crate spawns with treasure inside.
Open the Crate Players interact with the crate to receive randomized loot. If they cancel midway, the crate stays for a while.
Crate Despawn If untouched, the crate will despawn after a set time.
Treasure Maps Players use an item to trigger a hunt. The blip, text, and digging time are fully customizable.
Required Tools Digging requires a specific item — by default, it's a shovel, but this can be changed.
Random Loot Crates spawn with configurable loot pulled from your custom reward pool.
Persistent Crates If a player starts opening a crate but cancels, it won’t vanish instantly.
Despawn Timer Unopened crates disappear after a configurable time period.
All behavior is tweakable in the config file:
Usemap Settings – Controls what happens when a player uses a treasure map (blip color, notification messages, progress bar).
Required Item – Set the item needed to dig (default: shovel).
Despawn Timer – How long the crate stays before disappearing (in seconds).
Loot Rewards – Define your own item or cash reward options.
Make treasure maps available through loot, vendors, or missions.
Use this system for pirate events, survival zones, or storylines.
Combine with animations or sounds for extra immersion.
Track crate openings for achievements or hidden leaderboard fun.
