👤 How to Add or Remove Roles from Users

Use Pluto.exe’s /managerole command to quickly assign or remove roles from any member — with full logging and permission checks built in.

🔨 Manage a User’s Role

Use the /managerole command with the following arguments:

• user — the member you want to modify

• role — the role to add or remove

• action — choose add or remove

Add Example:

/managerole @User @Muted add  

Remove Example:

/managerole @User @Muted remove

🔁 Supported Actions

• add — gives the role to the user

• remove — removes the role from the user

📋 Important Notes

Permissions

You must have Manage Roles permission to use this command. Pluto.exe must also have:

• Manage Roles

• A higher role position than the target role

If either requirement isn’t met, the action will fail.

Logging Behavior

• If a modlog channel is set, Pluto.exe logs:

  • Which user was modified

  • What role was added/removed

  • Who initiated the change

• If no modlog is configured, the action still works silently.

Command Visibility

This command replies privately (ephemeral) to the person executing it.
