TrueAudit is designed to give server owners clarity and accountability — without compromising privacy.

This page explains what the bot logs, how it's stored, and how long it's retained.

📥 What We Log

TrueAudit only logs actions that are relevant to server moderation and visibility, such as:

• Member bans, kicks, and mutes

• Channel creations, deletions, and permission changes

• Role modifications and member role assignments

• Deleted messages (content included only if deleted)

• Pinned/unpinned messages

• Bot additions, integrations, webhooks, etc.

• Audit log entries for voice moves, thread updates, invites, and more

✅ If it’s in Discord’s audit log or directly observable moderation activity, it’s logged. 🚫 If it’s private DMs, server chats, or unmoderated user activity — it’s ignored.

❌ What We Don’t Log

• Ongoing message content (only deleted messages are recorded)

• Private messages between users

• Reactions or emoji usage

• Edits to normal messages (Discord doesn’t expose edit logs via audit log)

⏳ Retention Period

TrueAudit retains audit data for 6 months (180 days) by default.

After that, old entries are automatically purged to:

• Keep storage optimized

• Protect member data

• Maintain a healthy performance baseline
